Still in my pit coughing my guts up and throwing up occasionally during the day. Going to contact the doctor tomorrow in case he/she can think of something.
On the up side I did find a model patient…
Okay casualty is probably a better term to use.
My wife and son went shopping and were thinking of me they have brought me lots of nice things to try and ge tme to eat again. In my drawer right next to me is a chocolate bunny. Sadly right at this second it does not appeal.
In my attempt to be positive I would like to point out that I am positive that I coughed so much earlier that I threw up.
On the up side I also managed to sit up for for about an hour and a half today, sadly, I had to return to bed, but at least I made it up. Work on Monday is looking less likely today. I am now needing my inhaler a few times a day, so will be following the doctor’s instruction and ringing them Monday morning.
Anyway my good lady recorded my sleeping last night to let me hear it… I am evidently a Weddell seal or something similar…
Not exactly from the same neck of the woods (actual opposite end of the planet to be more accurate). We had this little lady visiting Shetland over the last few days…
Based on the tusks and pink spot on the nose then she is the one seen in Germany and Northumberland.
She is about six miles from me and I can’t even get out of bed to go and take a photo.
I am now very much bored and frustrated by this flu thing and to be brutally honest I am a total whining get. I am not a model patient and am spending far too much time feeling sorry for myself. There are people out there where this is their life. So although we may still have service Disruption tomorrow, then I shall be more positive….that’s tomorrow, but tonight I am going to make the most of it.
Last time I had flu it affected my taste buds and I went off coffee for about five years, in fact I just started drinking it again in the last six months. As I am still not eating I decided to make myself some cheese and Crackers…. Holy crap the cheese tasted terrible… I hope I don’t end up off cheese for five years. It might do my waistline the world of good if I was.
To be totally honest though I actually made it myself, had a bath etc and am just about upright… I am hoping a corner has been turned… yesterday I could just about stagger to the bathroom for a pee…
If the cough would go away then I would be a lot happier.
On Friday night I honestly would never have thought that a week later I would actually still be in bed. This is honestly getting boring…
Totally useless fact… Thunderbird’s Parker is the same voice actor as Grandpa Pig as well as the wise old elf in Ben and Holly. Wierd old world eh!

You’ll never guess where I still am! For those thinking insane asylum.. I am getting a little cabin feverish…so there is time for that. Still at the boiling hot/freezing cold stage… on a positive note I have probably dropped a few kg’s in weight.

Luckily work is pretty much sorted with regards to my cover, one of my staff is off with something similar to mine. But I have cover until Thursday at least.

Still in bed, I managed to eat a slice of toast today so things must be improving. I managed to get a couple of smoothie’s down but that has been the total of the food I have eaten since Friday morning.
This thing, whatever it is, seriously sucks. It’s a right bugger as I have staff leaving tomorrow as well as parent meetings which I won’t be going to.
Hopefully I will get back by Thursday. I can still just about make it to the toilet today so Wednesday is unlikely.

This thing is effing crap. I managed to do 300 steps today and slept for about 14 hours last night. I have been sleeping on and off all day too. At the minute inhave put the bed covers back on after throwing the off five-minute ago… no doubt they will be 9ff again shortly.
No work for me tomorrow…

So last night I went to bed and tried to read… I went straight to sleep instead… today I managed to drag myself for a local PCR… luckily I am clear and can scamper madly about Shetland… however, I can just about stagger through to the kitchen to make a cup of tea…
I hoped to get something painted today, but sadly this did not happen.
Tomorrow is another day… here is hoping I get more oomph.
Tonight I had my Covid Booster as well as my flu jab… to be honest I am feeling a bit groggy. I am not sure whether it is the jabs or if I have caught my wife’s flu thing. She has been in bed since last Sunday, so I am hoping that it is the former and not the latter.
I am going to head off to bed and try and read a book…
Or if that fails… something mind numbing on Netflix or YouTube.
