Well this lot are nearly all done
The metalwork on the gun needs doing and the the sand on the bases then they are all finished.
Next up is the command stand, the yucky pink on the flag is to act as a base coat for a red flag. The monk needs another coat of paint on his habit as I ran out on the pallet.
I did a bit more on the Triffid too.
I really think that this army should be ready in time for the tournament. If truth be known the spears and gun are extras to allow me a little flexibility when planning the composition. I need to decide on the snake or the Triffid as my Lurker…oh and get the tank painted and based.
Today we had Autumnal Shenanigans in the nice weather.
A nice afternoon out in Scalloway, followed by cake 😁
Figures coming along very nicely and those landscape photos are fantastic!

Yep, I think TIM’s hit the nail on the head, figures coming on well and very nice seascapes (I’m assuming sunset)! And you can never go wrong with cake!

It was about 15.00 so the sun was heading towards the horizon, soon will be dark more than it is light, the upside is around 20 hours of daylight in the summer.

Nice work. I need to go back to some of your previous posts to figure out why this Triffid monster is in your army. Nice looking mini!

Its a Horde of the Things semi historical Conquistador army, with the addition of a Leonardo tank and a Lurker, it shall be either a Triffid thing or a giant snake. These are for a tournament on 10th November.

Love the triffid- I remember the book fondly from when I read it as a child.
Cheers,
Pete.

Cheers Pete, I know I read the book, but can’t remember it at all. Seen too many screen versions now to recall the original story.

Never seen a screen version- which would you recommend?
