Well tonight I made progress but to be honest I wasn’t really happy with it…

They were all at this stage when I decided to call it a day on this way of doing it and got the white spray can out again.

I also decided to spray these three as I wasn’t happy with the brush on undercoat.

Tonight I do Seem to be unhappy with just about everything.

Today is a very sad day for the Uk as we have now lost 100000 people to Covid. This has come about by the total mismanagement of this Tory government. Now I am not saying deaths would not have occurred, but that bumbling Buffoon who blagged his way into number 10 needs to be taken out and publicly flogged. All that money to the Tory chums wasted on PPE that didn’t exist or was useless or whatever, failed track and trace, bribing people to eat out, I mean for fuck’s sake. Eat out in a fucking Pandemic, are they out of there tiny minds, That smarmy bastard had the audacity to stand up today and make a statesmanlike speech about how much we must value the NHS workers who gave their all, the same NHS heroes that he and his chums fucked over by not giving them the PPE they needed and then refused to give them a pay rise (while at the same time clapping for them). Sorry about the swearing people. Those of you who have followed my blog will know I don’t as a rule swear on it, but I am steaming… I am so angry today with what we have achieved, when he stated the uk was going to be number one, I really didn’t think it would mean in dead people.

I think I need to go and lie down in a darkened room, with chillout music playing. Hopefully a day off tomorrow will get me back in the right direction again.

Apologies once again for the massive rant.

  1. Dude, if there every was a time to start swearing , this is it. While we don’t get the day-to-day politics of the UK over here, I completely understand your frustration with leader that you wouldn’t trust to take the garbage out to the can correctly! Oh and when you get ’round to the public floggings, can I send our old President over for a side by side event!

As to the Valhallands, what desertly colors are you thinking if not sand, perhaps dark yellow, khaki, or faded white! Of course you could go some sort of cool camouflage based on the British Caunter scheme???

    1. Cheers mate, I think I needed to let off some steam. The Valhallan’s are for my mate, he wants a specific look. They were getting there but I would have had to add loads of layers and really didn’t have the time or inclination.

  2. I look forward to seeing that Warhammer Quest wizard painted up!

On Covid – well I don’t see that you need to apologise, it must be maddening to be there right now. Such wilful, almost laughing negligence on the part of the government.

  3. I might not agree a 100% with you Steve but I certainly don’t blame you for letting off steam. If it helps you should do it more often. There is no doubt things to date could have been done better, some very crazy decisions have been made that’s for sure and I don’t say that with hindsight, some were obvious from the start. I suspect in the fullness of time even more will come out that we know nothing about. It’s a war and like most wars there is an element of propaganda some of which to be fair might probably be in the public interest. Whilst a lot of finger pointing must rightly go to the government I think the general public need to take a long hard look at themselves too. Mass gatherings, people travelling 100’s of miles needlessly and generally being selfish and not conforming or even giving a damn about others has depressed me just as much. I expect governments to be incompetent such is the way of the world but I never realised there was so many morons around. Sadly the numbers make for grim reading ad to make matters worse they will go even higher before this is over.

      1. I think like a lot of things Steve it’s never a single thing but a combination of many. Whilst a lot of things could have been done better it is easy to forget that some things have been done well too. Sadly we are where we are. At least we enter the new year with a vaccine, it doesn’t bare thinking about what it would be like if we did have that right now. It wasn’t that long ago that Boris for all his faults was being put under pressure by people like the airline industry and heaps more and only a day or so ago they were pushing for the schools to open! There is a point where Boris, or anyone else who might have had the job, simply cannot win. Such is life. Meanwhile stay safe and let’s all try to hang on in there. 😊

  4. I don’t blame you at all, mate. It’s your blog and you’ll swear if you want to – and I try not to on other’s comments but as I’m sure you’ve seen, only hold back a little on my own. Honestly, I feel the same way about Boris and Donny when I see the total mismanagement of the virus over there, not to speak of the halfwit running Brazil. (I had to retype halfwit from another, similar term).
It may seem ridiculous to you, given the huge disparity, but I also lump our own Scomo and Gladys in with Boris (if not Donny). It’s a combination of geography and luck more than sense that’s kept us here in Aus in a relative good place compared to elsewhere.

  5. It’s good that you’ve let off some steam, and you’re right- it’s a grim situation that we’re in at the moment. The loss of life is staggering. I agree with the comments that say some of the blame lies with the public; the mask deniers, 5G-fearing social media dwellers that continue to throw house parties are not helping to stop the spread of the virus.

On the other hand, the Tories have proven time and again that when they are not showing utter contempt for human life, then they are displaying baffling degrees of incompetence in handling anything. Eat out to help out then blaming the public for following orders… It boggles the mind.

To end positively, I have to say though that your Valhallans are awesome! They look the business 👍

  6. I have to agree totally with your Covid comments, we have sadly faced one of the worst threats to our country in history with one of the worst governments in it’s history! We are an Island for gods sake, we should have contained this so much better.

Yes I also agree with Dave’s comments about the total idiots in the public too, though I have to say the “Dominic Cummings” incident hasn’t helped with that. People are generally stupid and so it is down to strong leadership to account for this, something sadly lacking in spades with this lot!

Oh and you forgot to mention the fact that the Tory Government has spent years driving the NHS into the ground with cutbacks and “austerity”, I just hope this forces more support for the NHS in the future, as forces that tatty haired idiot out of office!!

You figures look nice though 😉

    Cheers Roger.

  7. The rant is totally justified and the feelings are easy to relate to here in the US. While Trump and Boris made different policy decisions in their respective countries, both really dropped the ball and a lot of people died that shouldn’t. How they could ever live with that, I don’t know.

For the Valhallan’s you could try try an “ice” color scheme with a cold blue, white (or off-white), and gray or brown mixed in there. Not unlike the Wildlings in Game of Thrones but with a bit more color overall. Just a thought and I’m sure you’ll get it sorted. Might already have considering I’m reading this a day late!
