I had another bash with my printer today and made my filament guides. I then chose an item to print. I decided on the free altar from Fat Dragon.

The one on the left was due to a PLA malfunction (aka my lower filament guide failed and jammed the filament.
Second one came out ok… I reckon I might be able to make it smoother, but something to check out.
It paints up okay, I think

I also made a start on my Ostarian Cavalry dog.
They do look good painted. What’s the scale … 28mm?

I can see a big future for 3D printing in our hobby. Before too long we will all be designing our own figures and things. Are you using software now or is it essentially just a copier?

Mine is basically just a copier, I need to use Software to convert files to a useable form for the printer. The software I am using is called Cura and it can be used to edit and scale (I think) I haven’t really had much of a look at it.

I guess the more you get into this now the easier it will be as the technology inevitably advances. Before too long I can see you posting tutorials!

User interfaces tend to become easier and more intuitive over time, so likely any point of adoption is going to be fine.

Looking nice, especially painted. Pretty fun watching someone using these from the start. I’ve thought about getting one many times, maybe next Christmas.
