Mustering of the Dwarves

To be honest it is more a musterette than a full muster…

We have the next Warband I think I will paint. This has one too many miniatures. Front right are two engineers. One male and one female. I like them both so will choose once they are painted.

We have a long weekend starting today so whoopee! No work for four days then back to be only one of a few schools open in Scotland as my union is not striking.

Vampiric Warband

Tonight I worked on the last three miniatures for the warband.

Here the whole force are…

There is only one vampire in the force so the winged one and the dire wolf are in the box. The vampire was an extra miniature and the wolf is a model ready for a points increase.

Had a hell of a day today, so it was good to have a bit of a relaxing painting session.

I Hate *%#%^*% Rain!

Today our escapologist geese went to their new home. This meant catching them in torrential rain and we had a stream where there never had been one in the 15 years we have lived here… the video was taken after the goose movements.

Excuse the mess!

Bloody nightmare to say the least. I have gone through three sets of waterproofs today. I just wanted to dry a set out each time.

I did remember to sort out these cute boomerang wielding chaps…

They are so cute… I also printed out some random bits for me to paint…

One of the dwarves is going to become my engineer for the Mordheim dwarf warband. The last thing to print were my planks…

We have now got 50mph winds to help the rain along.

Ark Survival

Tonight I got nothing done as my daughter and I were spending quality time together playing Ark Survival Evolved. We met our nemesis early on….

We spent a lot of time physically trying to peep around corners on the screen, not to mention whispering a lot!

Piggy and Grass

Well I fully intended to paint things tonight, however my wife contacted me at work to say there was a problem with the socket circuit. So after isolating various bit and bobs I eventually tracked it down to the big shed, and then down to my good lady’s office. I noticed an extension was wet so after swearing a lot I checked upwards to see where the leak had come in. It was all bone dry but her couch was soaking, her floor was soaking so after swearing more I went to leave then I noticed her fish swimming about… then I noticed the water level. I swore even more. Basically her metre long tank had pretty much emptied.

I couldn’t work out how a leak could fill an extension with water. So after rescuing the fish and emptying what water was left I noticed that the silicone seal had gone, not on the bottom as I had expected but the left side of the front had pretty much split all the way down.

So no painting at home, but I did paint piggy at geek club…

Still a long way to go, but getting there.

I also came home to a parcel…

Nothing Achieved

Well this isn’t exactly right. I have got the 40 miniatures sorted out for the Geek club tomorrow.

I also decided to print a couple of dwarf engineers and my planks I made. I think I also did another chameleon, just because I liked it. I went for another piggy too. I will show you how far I got with the one I started last week.

Vampires and Floors

Not a usual mix I must admit, but tonight I worked on these two. Mainly faffing about with the armour, but progress is progress…

I also made twenty individual paving slabs to make a floor. Don’t ask me why as I really can’t say. They were quite therapeutic though…

Now that I have the 25mm base unit I can knock one out in about 30 seconds. Sadly the rough chipped ones are the ones that cannot be seen. I will print a set out to see what they actually look like.

My original idea was to use the geometry nodes to make randomised tile patterns from the above. I might get round to it one day.
