Another eclectic mix!

Bange and Oafson – two Trolkin officers. They fight with the Krolsberg Jagers and command the 1st Regiments, 3rd Company between them both holding the rank of Captain. These two fight alongside the Ferach in the Witchlands.

The artist Goyah- this dark elf artist is part of the set (VLE07)with the Todoroni aristocrat Frappechino. On the surface he has sided with the Ferach after being left behind when the court was evacuated. He is free to travel anywhere in the Ferach lands.

Finally an Ogre of the KGL (Krautian Giant Legion) 1st Staff Detachment.

I finished my Froggy aristocrat. I do like the Frogs – and this one is a lovely example. I have ordered Baron Petrochemicoli as another useful civilian type figure.

Light Infantry Painted

Well I eventually got back to getting something painted. These were almost done so I pushed on and got them finished. Unfortunately I didn’t clean off any flash before starting these so a couple of them are a bit lumpy in places. I suppose my favourite figure is the kneeling one in the bonnet de police. As this group are in various states of undress these will be my elite unit of Ferach lights. If I had a wish list it would be another half dozen of these in similar attire to make a unit of ten. The officer was snaffled from the original Flintloque set – it turns out I have three sets.

On Sunday I popped into the Hordes of the Things tournament with my local club. Unfortunately I couldn’t take part this year due to child care shenanigans.

Alien Eggs

I saw this cunning idea on the terrain tutor Facebook group. I thought I would give it a go. I cut some squares out of EPVC and sloped the edges. I then basically glue gunned a pile of Pistachios onto these bases.
I then mixed up some Milliput and smoothed this on with plenty of water. I added a bit of texture with one of the tool’s handles and then rolled up some longthin sausages and let these twist themselves up and stuck them onto the bases or draped them around the eggs.

Hidden Stash

Dark Elves,

After bemoaning the amount of figures I still have to paint, I went into work today and found a box of Dark Elf guerillas hidden in plain sight. Now this is a little tricky as I was going to base most of my games in the North. I have the mounted La Spiga to act as an officer as well as the priest. The conundrum is, do I just get rid of these or, do I somehow incorporate them into whatever I am doing…..
