Flintloque purchases

Whoops,
I have just purchased another eclectic mix of Flintloque figures. Ranging from a giant toad to some HEVC halflings, with some dog officers and a squad of pugs and a couple of dodgy highwaymen. I started the order 2 days ago and it has changed numerous times. The only constant was a mounted dog officer: prince Schwarzenbarch.

I promised myself I wouldn’t purchase any more until I finished what I already had! Well that promise lasted!

Random Terrain

Some random pics of some terrain. I will add some more pictures at a later date. The village is a WIP part of a post apocalypse piece for my 6mm road wars games.
The wall is a WIP with the finished article.

The wall is made of 10mm blue insulation foam. It is based on extruded pvc I got from ebay.

Ebay bargain.

I got an amazing bargain off EBay. 8 Ostarian dogs and a mounted one. All for the bargain price of £15.00. They are really well painted and based. I thought the bidding would go wild but I was the only bidder. The seller packed them really well so they arrived in perfect condition.

Road Wars

After watching Mad Max a few times I fancied some road wars kind of mayhem. I had already got the GW Dark Future road wars game, however my house doesn’t have room to run larger scaled games. I looked around for something smaller scale. It was then I came across Vanguard miniatures. 6mm road wars… Awesome!
I went for a selection of bikes, cars and mutant types. I still want to get a couple of light rigs as well as another set of hot rods to go with my buggies and chase cars.
I also purchased a militaristic group (the Sisterhood) to give someone for the mutants to fight.I could have gone for the ganger set, or a whole host of other antagonists. The one thing Vanguard doesn’t have much of is civilians. I got these elsewhere.
Bring on the chaos 🙂

Fairie Catchers

IMG_2674
Well, this is something a bit different. A Fairie catcher and his ‘prentice. These chaps are  a lovely little set. they came with four fairies, which I will get onto eventually. Once again I have made a start on these at work, the downside was that a. the light isn’t brilliant and b. I forgot my glasses for close up work. I will carry on with these when I get home and try and get them finished.

Need to get the bases done, but happy to say these are finished.

I am really enjoying painting the Flintloque miniatures as they are a whole lot bigger than the usual 10 and 6mm that I have been used to of late. I am going to crack on with the box of unpainted stuff before I purchase any more.

Alternative armies have an amazing range for Flintloque, as well as many other ranges.

Ernst Von Krum

Had a bash at painting over my lunch at work. Quite frankly the lighting was naff, but it was better than messing around with my IPad.

I finished both him and his horse off when I got home. I used some green stuff to cover up the faces on the rump as well as adding some form of roll behind the saddle.
