Share a hobby you’ve picked up recently — what got you into it?
I suppose my Oil pastel scribbles would count here
Why did I start… Was away on training and on a whim bought some cheap oil pastels and a pad of black paper. Haven’t done any for a while…must carry on…
The other thing is maps…drawing them…
Each town on the large map is drawn too.
Why maps. Well during long COVID I lost my fine motor skills among other things and drawing random maps was easier than the written word.

The maps are great. (The pastels are nice, but cartography really grabs my attention.) I have great fun drawing maps (and redrawing because I then wanted something extra) for games… I could certainly spend an afternoon drawing maps that I don’t actually need.

Ditto, big fan of maps. Don’t draw many, but appreciate them. They look great.
Always wanted to wallpaper my little office with OS maps!

Cheers mate…Funnily you should mention the wallpaper idea. I made my wife a tiny office space on Shetland and used old OS maps of where she used to live.

I always like all your work, but the maps are brilliant! I haven’t started a new hobby for decades but I recently discovered Murdoku (like Sudoku but solving murders!) and am hooked
