Yep, this lot just need the base edges painted black and the flags shoved on and that’s them finished.

Then the remaining miniatures when they arrive.

I will flock them all together rather than in two bits.

Now I still have one base sitting there with Two of the three miniatures glued on. I realised there was a load of flash that still needed removing… I then noticed something odd on the back of the miniatures…

I checked the others still in the white metal stage.

They pretty much all look like this…

Sadly the other ones in the same pose  in the mercenary unit  and in this lot have the undercoat on and then have been painted. I can just about see the pattern on the banner holder.

I can honestly say I have never seen anything like this on miniatures before… Well this isn’t exactly true as I see it occasionally on 3D printed stuff.

Now I am not saying that these are printed then moulded, but I wonder if there has been some form of vibration as they were spun cast. As I have said before these are probably the worst miniatures with regards to flash and vent nubs/wires.

  1. I’ve got some of the old Spartan Games large Martian tripods that look like they were cast in resin but the masters were 3D printed. However they are very rounded shapes and the print resolution was very fine so it was only faintly visible on the unpainted model.
