Well a while ago I got excited about 5 parsecs from home.
Today a new book arrived that matches in with it…
Basically your new team are a group of colonists arriving on a new and dangerous planet. Exploration, colony building and scientific discoveries are all part of the story.
Again this is a solo or co-op game.
I will share my thoughts when I read a bit more

I picked up Five Parsecs a little while ago but haven’t yet played. I’ve had my eye on these expansion books but they’re too expensive for impulse purchases. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts once you’ve had some time to go through and get some games in.

Yeah you are right about the price. I got mine a bit cheaper from Weyland games.
I was thinking it was an add on to five parsecs, but it is actually a stand alone game. You can use characters from the other games, but with this it is a whole new crew.
