Well I have gone a bit bonkers printing things. I am certainly running through my resin backlog.
I eventually managed to print the large chemical mixer thing…

I also did the walkways and a leaky drain.
The drum above is the second attempt… the following shows us boys and girls why we need to ensure that we fasten the build plate properly!

The following are a couple of pipes. They were part of four things on the plate. The chemical barrel pallets both failed, which led to a lot of swearing. The vat was full so it took a few shenanigans to get the cured lumps of the FEP.

The resin prints look really nice though. Curious, do you run into more issues with the fdm or the resin printer?

It really depends on how I support things and whether or not I do stupid things like I forget to tighten something. Each type has its foibles and a learning curve to master. I could actually tune in both of then more, but they do for what I want.

Hmmm, it almost sounds like I should go for resin since I like the results better than what I see come from fdm. From what I’ve heard though, the resin printers are more of a pain.

Resin is pretty nasty stuff, and it can be brittle. If you dial in an FDM properly you can get really good results. I tend to use the FDM for terrain.
