This evening I decided to give the Dirty Down Rust another try. This time I stirred it first with a skewer. This took a good while… the photo was taken part way through the stirring process…

Once I had stirred it for a good while I inverted the bottle and saw light through the base so I reckoned it was time for a good old shake… turns out it had an agitator ball in! It definitely didn’t make that noise the other day!

So this is what it looked like after round two!

Much better in my mind!

The other thing I did was to glue thirty woodland Indians to pennies and undercoat them ready for a bit of a painting session sometime soon.

  1. I haven’t had the opportunity to use Dirty Down Rust myself, but I have heard it’s good to warm it up before use with a hairdryer, and also to (safely!) warm the surface it is being applied to as well.

      1. 😅😅😅👍🏻your so right mate, I was Complacent about my Matt varnish not working, they said I should keep it warm,😏in the house not in the shed that got down to-2 😂😂😂
