As I mentioned yesterday, I had to attend a parent council meeting as the head teacher. I didn’t get in until gone 22:00.
I decided, however, to make the scythe a bit rusty.
I had already added some orangey colours, but thought I was add some Dirty Down rust as I never really get to use it much.
I warmed up the bottle and shook it like buggery and it didn’t work properly!

The only thing I can think of is one of two things. First, I should have stirred as well as shaken it or second the models are metal and were themselves really cold. I left them for a couple of hours. The bottle says ‘high Matt’ so I think it needs a stir as the scythe looks a tad shiny.
Arrg! I hate it when a plan doesn’t work out as planned. Although it does look old and rusty!

I like your choice of technical terms e.g. “shook it like buggery!” 🙂 I know exactly what that meant!

I believe in real English… for those that don’t understand the term… it means agitate vigorously:)

Sorry to hear it didn’t work as well as you wanted.
Seen the same product in a local shop. The bit about having to warm up your models first gets me a little concerned.
Cheers,
Pete.

To be honest Pete, it probably needed a stir first. I have managed to get it working before after I stirred it.
