So today is my bone density scan day. Arrived early for the appointment… I would like to say that the waiting area is crap. Good job I am not getting a body temperature scan… every time I move, this happens….
The seats are uncomfortable so I keep shuffling. There is no heating in this bit and the outdoor temperature is really chilly.
They have a mobile scanner up and this doorway is the closest to the truck. I shouldn’t really complain as it is free.
Sadly I managed to agitate my poly myalgia today. Basically the track needed re levelling. Basically it was time for its biannual digger visit. Even though I was sat in said digger I still managed to set everything aching. I therefore managed no painting this evening.
This evening I realised that I couldn’t get any more files onto my first external hard drive as it was full. This prompted me to have a bit of a sort out. Seemed I had multiple identical files on the drive. This actually took a lot longer than I thought it would.
I have noticed something of late to do with my Mini Factory. I follow a few designers, by a few I mean twenty odd. A while ago I got a free month of a designer’s Tribe (basically Patreon on MMF), this has happened a few more times. Actually for the last two I didn’t bother as they didn’t interest me. This week one of the ones I follow was offering 50% off. I got the same from another one last week too. It may be a coincidence, but I will now keep an eye on it
Finally… I still haven’t printed anything. Still painting the stuff I already have.
This evening I managed to get some work done on the goblins.
I shall carry on with these tomorrow. There is still a lot to do… especially on the ones in the background. The one with the log for the helmet is a total repaint. The middle one and him are pretty much finished now.
When I say done, I mean the seven that I had undercoated.
Here they are robbing out the stones from the wall.
I also got the frogs done too.
For these photos I decided to try out my background book…
I also used one of my battle mats. To go onto the table.. I am pleased with how it looks for both photos.
I will probably do the dozen goblins with spears next. Well I need them done as soon as possible as Highland Miniatures are bringing out orks next month. I am liking what I see so far.
I know I like 3D printing, but, apart from the toxic chemicals, I reckon building these won’t have really taken much less time if any. (This is not including printing time).
I will consider bases tomorrow..
I decided I couldn’t be bothered to paint anything this evening. My wife is packing for a work trip. My eldest is filling in forms for their new job and one of the others is trying to get some homework done.
Well after a few games of Grimdark Future I have decided that sci Fi Gaming isn’t too bad. So, because I couldn’t be bothered to paint things this evening I made up some miniatures.
I blagged them off Joe, I thought these would be a nice easy sci fri arms to paint. These are snap fit ones… snap being an appropriate word. A number needed glueing as I somehow snapped pegs off in their holes.
Still a whole lot to build. Round two tomorrow.
Well Storm Betty, Mary or Fifi (or whatever it is called) has Caught up with my little bit of land. The Wind is coming from an unusual direction and both the porch and Conservatory are leaking. There has always been an annoying drip in the conservatory, when the win is from the South East. This time it is coming in in a number of places.
I am lucky however. I have a leak, some poor buggers on the mainland have lost their houses and livelihoods. So spare a thought for them not me whingeing on.
