Or so they say…we will have to see…
For those that have followed me for a while you will know I tend to (actually always) use Speedpaints over a white undercoat. Well hold onto your knickers, I have changed undercoat colour.

This had better work, it cost me £15.00.
I have mostly been working on a prop for a theatre company today. They want a stone hot water bottle, that isn’t made of stone.

It is getting there slowly. Quite a lot of trial and error and a minor burn got me to this point. To be honest it is now further on than in this photo.
Oh, keep us posted on this bottle project!

Keep us posted on you results, £15.00 the price of things these days is scary isn’t it. Cheers Roger.

The rattle cans I was getting from the car place were a tenner each and three for the price of two. So pretty much equivalent to half the price a can.

I’ve had decent results with that color from GW. I think their black gets the best results and is easier to use (it seems less affected by weather/humidity) but I never had any major issues with their primers, thankfully.

I only really use Speedpaints now so my days of black are over. Well apart from my foray into slap chop 😁

D’oh, I hadn’t considered that. I never use Contrast paints and so my can of white Citadel primer goes mostly unused for now anyway!
