Another Interesting Question

How do you relax?

So I have two main ways to relax.

First up is my painting of miniatures etc. Although frustrating at times I do find it relaxing. I switch off and push paint around on a model.

Second is gaming, mainly through technology but also using miniatures. I tend not to go out much so the technology side is winning at the minute.

Technically reading should be in there too, but I tend to use audio books more than using my eyes.

Funnily enough I don’t find my 3D printing relaxing. Interesting yes, relaxing…no.

An Interesting Question

Why do you blog?

The short answer to the question is to help me with my hobby projects. It started off with blogging about something I had painted. In 2017 I started this blog and have now posted 2395 Times. The Longest streak was 960 days, which frankly is bonkers. The Longest blog streak prior to starting this one was 3 days.

I have ‘met’ some amazing people via this blog and follow a lot back. This is definitely a supportive community.

I am about half way through my allocated space allowance so I reckon I have got about another five years to go.

As for the long answer… that will have to wait… I need to go to sleep!

The Coolest Thing I ever Found

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever found (and kept)?

I suppose there are two that fit this criteria. The first was a piece of Roman amphora from 20 metres down in the Mediterranean. It was from a second century wreck. I may have been the next person to touch it in the 1800 years since it was lost.

The second thing was another piece of pottery this time Samian from the Roman period. This one is cooler than the first as I know the person who touched it before me was from the first to second century AD. How do I know this. Well a little rabbit had made a burrow and kindly kicked it out just before I came along.

Luckily for me both were outside of any protected area so they were both classed as waste.

If I knew where they were I would add a photograph of them.
