DIZZY A.F.

Wibble city has hit today. I keep going dizzy if I do too much.

Going to take the day off tomorrow as I can just about walk through the house in a straight line, never mind drive a car!

Bleurgh

To be honest I just woke up to do this post. I made it to 17.00 before needing to go to bed. There are lots of lurgies flying about and as ibwork with plague demons then it is small wonder I have caught something.

I managed another plank today in Blender. Now that I am getting the hang of them I think I will try for a recessed Cross piece.

Thick As….

Two short planks… well I felt like that earlier. I couldn’t manage to make my curs in Blender nice answer smooth.

This kind of was spoiling the effect on the wood grain and then it dawned on me… instead of increasing the resolution of the piece I kept on decreasing it!

It works on a numerical value… I found 0.0123 to be a nice resolution number. Funnily enough it was finer than 0.0321…funny that!

So here is this evening’s plank!

I evidently didn’t check the size when I was setting it up. This one is about 12mm long!

Mrs Bunny in the Fields

Tonight the septic tank backed up again so I wasn’t really I the mood to paint anything. I did however get some of my home made tufts on the Goonmaster rabbit.

I just realised there’s some paint where there shouldn’t be any!

I also had a faff around with blender. Sculpting this time. I thought Mordheim needs lots of fallen timbers… watch this space.

I Have a Door!

Or should I say…another door.

I am starting to make little steps into doing simple things. Each time I cock things up I learn something new…normally what not to do, but it is all a learning process.

So far I have made the two textured rollers, some signs and a simple door.

Sad but true, I am enjoying doing these. Not sure where I will go next, but if anyone has any ideas then please give me a shout.

I did consider a big double door. Something that will allow me to get the hang of the mirror modifier. There is so much to learn!

A bit of Painting

Tonight my good lady was on a conference call so I couldn’t get onto Blender to make hinges for my rounded door.

My problem with Blender is that I cannot seem to build things and save them separately and use the bits to build other things. Now to be fair I could use other things like Meshmixer and 3D paint so maybe I should stop moaning!

With my hiatus I did get on and do some painting. The red panda you have seen before. I have worked on the dregs and rabbit this evening.

The dregs are nearly done, so this leaves the vampire in his two forms and the Necromancer. I have painted the armour on the vampires, e

I am now off to make my hinges… wish me luck!

Having a Fiddle in Blender

Well as you know, or don’t, I have been having a play around with Blender. First the texture rollers, then the signs… now we have doors…

The scale is out somewhat, but I reckon you can see what it is meant to be. After a good old while of head scratching and swearing I have eventually worked out how to add a curve to the top of a door should I need one.

After typing the above I have added a hoop handle like the above and will need to add some hinges next.

I Made Something New

After a lot of swearing yesterday I pulled the signs off the printer and I am super pleased with the results. The one on the meft shows the back of the single sided one. The hidden side looks like the right hand one.

I am now going for a single sided door… and the swearing is back…

I pulled these off the printer too…

Something New

This morning as I was bringing the shopping in I slipped on the mud and sat down abruptly. As I was laden down with bags I couldn’t break my fall so bits of me have spent today reminding me that they existed.

Anyway enough of my whining. As I was on light duties I managed to make something else in Blender.

These nearly drove me demented. One is single sided and the other is double. At the minute I am trying to work out how to add a raised image… it is not going well!

If you hear a fell voice on the wind it is only me throwing a tantrum… again!
