I Spy With My Little Eye…
Shopping Day
Today was a shopping day with the kids running wild in the Metro Centre. Thankfully every shop they wanted was pretty much close to each other.
We then descended on IKEA… which proved a little expensive (you cannot get IKEA stuff easily or cheaply on Shetland).
Finally we went to our friend house, we saw them last in 2018.
Tomorrow we head to Leeds.
Character from a Book
If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?
Lord, Sir John Roxton from The Lost World. I have always loved this character from when I read the book as a child.
Starting on the Trolls
I am heading off on my holidays on Sunday nights boat. So I thought I would get some painting done. I went for the trolls as I wanted to try some random colour approaches.

Swamp Goblins Cavalry
Just had a thought, are you cavalrymen if you only ride horses… are frog mounted goblins cavalry or are they something else?
But I digress, I just realised the time and I have painted nothing… I did clean up the test bits and pieces.
Noisy Bugger
Tonight I started on the first of the frogherds. Yes my little frog army needs rounding up and pointing in the right direction. This is done by two simple means.? These being loud noises and pointy sticks. A combination of the two works well.
He still has a long way to go but he is getting there.
Lazy Sunday
Well I had a bit of a lazy Sunday today, did the horse this morning and this evening and pretty much didn’t do much else. Okay I knacked my back which then buggered the rest of me. But…
Anyway, no painting this evening. I did download the next pile of Anthromorporhical Beasties from Goonmaster… The second lot is one of their throwback sets that I get every month too.
Was There Any Doubt?
Well, guess what I hit the button on tonight…
The above is the base level, there are literally loads of additions in the stretch goals. I enjoyed painting the one last night and after watching some Youtube videos including Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, HAmburger Hill and others.. I knew I was going to jump in with both feet.
There are still 19 hours to go and there could be some more Stretch Goals to come!

I was a PFC on a Search Patrol…
I did a quick test paint on the grunt this evening… I had to use what paints I had so for the purists among you…sowwy!
He still needs some work, but he painted up nicely. The temptation to jump in has increased!
Maybe I need more goblins to take my mind off these!
Frogs in the Nam
Well not really… I worked on the froggies a bit this evening…
I also blasted a white undercoat onto the grunt.
I will try and get some paint onto him tomorrow. Three days left to jump in or not.
I watched the Army of the Dead tonight… I found it Meh!
