Painting Knights

This evening I got some paint slapped onto the Highland Miniatures Knights.

The colours for the livery are in a different style to the previous iterations.

I really had to force myself to get this small amount done. I am still not 100% so anything I manage is better than nothing.

Swordswoman

This evening I wanted a quick win so redid this lady.

She basically is the same original colours for the tunic and breeches. I just redid them better then got the rest of her done.

I will get some flock on the base when I get a lot more miniatures done. I could have looked up what actual regiment she is from in the Flintloque world, but didn’t for two reasons. One, it is for my mate, who wasn’t that fussed and two,it is a fantasy world – I wasn’t too fussed either.

It was a nice easy miniature to paint the biggest fuss were the suspenders and even they weren’t that fussy as they are quite chunky and easy to do.

Apart from the base this was all done in Speedpaints 2.0. Oh yeah, while I remember The white bits were my rebottled GW paint from a good while ago…

A Bit of Painting

I got my finger out and finished the grave digger. I also did I wthe masked lady as well as a couple of scatter pieces.

I also used any ‘spare’ paint to get some work done on the knights. Not a huge amount, but enough to make a start.

I will hopefully crack on with the knights tomorrow.

NEXT!

I really didn’t fancy painting the Sisters this evening.

The Steroids seem to be becoming less effective which is an absolute Bugger. I have already had to go back up a microgramme and it is looking like I will need to go back up again.

So instead of painting I built a few more Gallians, which will be undercoated and painted tomorrow.

The metal ones are for my mate. This pair arrived with the ones I painted yesterday. these are from Westwind miniatures.

I will of course be back with the ‘one coat’ paints tomorrow. 🙂

A Smidge on the Goblins

This evening I was a bit pooped and really couldn’t be bothered to paint anything.

I did force myself to do a bit so spent a little time painting the tunics on the rank and file.

To speed things up I painted them all a grey colour. Basically they are all in un-dyed cloth.

Hopefully I will crack on tomorrow and get a fair bit done.

Goblin Pole Arms

This evening I managed to get some work done on the goblins.

I shall carry on with these tomorrow. There is still a lot to do… especially on the ones in the background. The one with the log for the helmet is a total repaint. The middle one and him are pretty much finished now.

Goblins and the Nuns

Tonight I got the pole armed goblins from out of their box. I then spent an absolute age trying to find some missing ones.

I eventually decided that I didn’t have them and made do with some spares from the other sets.

In the box were my Mordheim Sisters. I never liked how these were painted so they have been white washed too.

I will hopefully make a start on them tomorrow.

There are two units of twelve in the background. I think I have four foot units (including the unpainted one). They are spread all of the place.

Goblins Done

When I say done, I mean the seven that I had undercoated.

Here they are robbing out the stones from the wall.

I also got the frogs done too.

For these photos I decided to try out my background book…

I also used one of my battle mats. To go onto the table.. I am pleased with how it looks for both photos.

I will probably do the dozen goblins with spears next. Well I need them done as soon as possible as Highland Miniatures are bringing out orks next month. I am liking what I see so far.

Undead Knights Finished

Well this afternoon I finished the knights. I decided on the maroon/purple for the white bits. I wanted to add a brighter colour to give them a bit more oomph. I had originally thought to go with red, but I reckon I chose the correct colour. you can see the one I was thinking of to the left of the second photo.

Tonight I am off to the club to get trounced, I mean play another game of Grimdark Future.
