Another Knight Finished

This evening I got this pair finished.

Bill the pony made an appearance to balance the scene up a bit. I am toying with the idea to add water slide transfers to the knight as well as the shields on the various foot soldiers.

I made a start on another pair of mounted knights as well as more foot.

The school has built a little diorama for a local festival of trees. Here is a work in progress…

I will get photos of the finished diorama tomorrow… well it better be finished tomorrow as I need to get it to the organisers tomorrow afternoon.

Painting Knights

This evening I got some paint slapped onto the Highland Miniatures Knights.

The colours for the livery are in a different style to the previous iterations.

I really had to force myself to get this small amount done. I am still not 100% so anything I manage is better than nothing.

Swordswoman

This evening I wanted a quick win so redid this lady.

She basically is the same original colours for the tunic and breeches. I just redid them better then got the rest of her done.

I will get some flock on the base when I get a lot more miniatures done. I could have looked up what actual regiment she is from in the Flintloque world, but didn’t for two reasons. One, it is for my mate, who wasn’t that fussed and two,it is a fantasy world – I wasn’t too fussed either.

It was a nice easy miniature to paint the biggest fuss were the suspenders and even they weren’t that fussy as they are quite chunky and easy to do.

Apart from the base this was all done in Speedpaints 2.0. Oh yeah, while I remember The white bits were my rebottled GW paint from a good while ago…

A Bit of Painting

I got my finger out and finished the grave digger. I also did I wthe masked lady as well as a couple of scatter pieces.

I also used any ‘spare’ paint to get some work done on the knights. Not a huge amount, but enough to make a start.

I will hopefully crack on with the knights tomorrow.

NEXT!

I really didn’t fancy painting the Sisters this evening.

The Steroids seem to be becoming less effective which is an absolute Bugger. I have already had to go back up a microgramme and it is looking like I will need to go back up again.

So instead of painting I built a few more Gallians, which will be undercoated and painted tomorrow.

The metal ones are for my mate. This pair arrived with the ones I painted yesterday. these are from Westwind miniatures.

I will of course be back with the ‘one coat’ paints tomorrow. 🙂

Painting Without Contrast

Eeeek! This evening I actually painted stuff without using any Contrast paint. It wasn’t really through choice. I started painting these miniatures for my mate about 12 years ago at the very least. Long before contrast was invented.

To be honest it was more a touch up and some painting to get them finished.

Back to Contrast tomorrow 🙂

Another Set Finished

Huzzah, I got the last of the printed goblins finished.

Not sure what I am going to paint next. I do have the Sisters as well as a few more knights that are printed. The sisters are undercoated so it may be better to do them.

I still need to decide what to do with the Tyranids.

Let’s be honest… I have so much crap to paint I could still be painting daily until Christmas and still have some for the New Year.

Goblins Done

This evening I managed to get my finger out and finish off the goblins. I am going to have to add a brighter edge on the weapons.

There are also a few touch ups that I need to do on some of them. The bases also need a bit of colour.

I will hopefully manage this tomorrow. My eldest is doing their first concert for their music course tomorrow evening so the painting may have to wait.

Goblins, Hallowe’en and Riding Witches

A bit of a mixture of topics. I decided I had better add some painting back in in case you all thought it had become a medical blog.

So yes I got the goblins and paints out and made some progress, not as much as I would have liked, but progress is still progress…

It is mainly just the metalwork to do and the back of the shields. I would have got further but my daughter was off getting sweeties from random strangers for Hallowe’en, so dad’s taxi was requested to bring them home.

So finally, a FB friend shared this. Now I am not 100% sure, but I believe a comma would help make the sentence mean what she meant.

Now I suppose if I need to or have to then okay, but I believe she meant let’s ride, witches. Punctuation is important… if you remove the capital letter then the following sentence has a totally different meaning…

‘I am going to help my Uncle Jack off his horse!’

Tomorrow back to the goblins… I hope

Oh yeah, evidently I have shrunk. I was measured yesterday and have lost about an inch and a half in height!
