This evening I decanted a further eighteen of the Contrast paints. The great advantage as well as not drying out is that you can fit more in the same space.

I also managed to finish the goblin netters and a bat swarm.

The bat swarm was probably printed at least eighteen months ago.
As Army Painter are pretty top dudes in my mind they sent the Geek club a pile more paints… look out for another post. I decided to try out the metallic Speedpaint range.

So I just tried the broadsword steel this evening and it isn’t too shabby. Went on easy and does have a sort of metallic sheen to it.
I would suggest it would need a highlight over the top, but this is my first real blast at them so I might not be using it to its best effect.
I still have ten goblins with hand weapons to finish.. hopefully I will get some done tomorrow evening. I will be adding cladding to the lounge wall tomorrow so I may be somewhat pooped. I will have to remember my steroids tomorrow morning or I will be more than pooped!
Very nice- I love that bat swarm.
Where was the stl from please?
Cheers,
Pete.

The swarm is from the printing goes ever on. From their ‘not Moria’ set.

I’m getting more fond of AP all the time.

The 2.0 Metallic Speedpaints seem to be pretty decent as a thin metallic option.

I was unsure to begin with, but I am actually finding them fine to work with.
