I have eventually got around to making a prototype wet palette, well prototype for me. As can be seen from a number of my photographs I have used a white tile or six, before that I used an old cd and before that probably paint straight out of the pot.

I am impressed, I painted the black over an hour and a half ago and the green about an hour ago. They are still useable. There are loads of YouTube vids all about making your own… so Ibit the bullet and did. A clean fish cake container, some paper towel and some grease proof paper and voila… a wet pallet.

You can see from the pic above where I have mixed colours, the brown was last night for the jäger. It was pretty much drying as fast as I was getting it on the figures.

I may make a shallower/wider to give me a bit more space. Having a quick look at prices, the bought ones range from just under £3 to £40 with extra for the paper. Mine cost pence…
