Not to be recommended… this evening I decided that I really needed to paint something. I managed to get so far before giving up as I was coughing my guts up throughout…

Hopefully the cough will have gone by tomorrow and I can carry on.

This evening I built the last three Wargames Factory cavalry. I think I chose better arns this time. The poses aren’t perfect, but certainly better than the last two.

I gave all three shields and shoved Warlord heads on a couple of the saddles. These have all got fancier helmets.
Once these are painted I will have twelve cavalry and four chariots.
Hopefully my other Celts come tomorrow… not sure why… I was going to build twelve of the Warlord infantry and couldn’t be arsed!
Ye God’s I am absolutely knackered this evening and the pain in my feet is back with a vengeance. I did however manage to finish the last chariot and charioteer.

I also finished the pair of cavalry. I have decided to mount the chariot warrior so cut the base from one of the Warlord miniatures and then built him up to fit in the chariot next to the driver.
I now have nine cavalry finished, this leaves three to go … well I think there were twelve in the pack.
I will try and get them built tomorrow, along with some more warriors on foot.
This evening I worked on the remaining two chariots and managed to get them nearly finished.

Still a bit to do, but nearly there. The driver is almost finished too.
I almost finished the two cavalry too. Hopefully they will get done tomorrow.
Next question for myself is do I add the warrior to the chariot or onto the base.
My new acquisitions have been posted and should be here by Saturday.
Now in my Tags for these posts I always tend to say Army Painter as to be honest yhey have been used the most. These chariots have also had Vallejo, Contrast and Dipping Inks.
The title says it all really. This evening I worked on the celtic mobile mob.
I got the horseman finished as well as the chariot…

I might darken the legs on the right hand horse. The interesting thing about the chariot crew is that it is basically the same miniature with a different head and the right arm is rotated slightly.
I worked on the other chariots and cavalry too, just never got them finished.
Because I am an idiot and felt that I didn’t have enough to paint I went and bought some Victrix naked fanatics and Celtic cavalry.
My only excuse, apart from being a total pillock is that I have fifty legionaries and therefore required a few more of the enemy types. Obviously I will need to get some Auxiliaries both infantry and cavalry… oh yeah and some artillery…. I need help, I really do! Does anyone actually reckon I will ever use these?
That is what I achieved today. Motivational crisis occurred, so sadly no painting this evening.

I reckon I could have had this one finished in ten minutes.

Once again I seem to have a thing about choosing green.
I never got any painting done this evening, but I did manage to get a couple of chariots built as well as a couple more cavalry…

If I am being brutally honest, I like the horses but noy necessarily the riders. Now to be fair it is mainly the weapon arm. Perhaps I need to choose a better arm…
This evening I set out to do the last undercoated celtic cavalryman. Unfortunately I couldn’t keep my eyes open; so I got this far…

My latest Warbases order arrived and although a bit on the large side I am happy enough with the chariot bases.

The rectangle in the middle is 100mm x 50mm. My thinking was that the Celts would use the chariot almost like a transport system and would fight on foot. I can therefore shove the odd warrior or two in this role.
Well this evening I did manage to get this pair finished…

I finished the one in the centre and the one on the right. I messed around with the shield on the left then tried a pattern on the right one.
Tomorrow I will crack on with another couple of these.
Well this evening I seriously was not in the frame of mind to be painting. I was feeling a lot of anger and frustration, but I did manage a bit on the W.F. mounted standard…

He is still wet in places. I also slapped some of the colours above on other miniatures. He will be finished in about ten minutes, but this evening I really wasn’t feeling the love.
Hopefully tomorrow I will be more chilled than today.
