Mohawk Finished

Well as per normal … apart from the bases.

This is a down and dirty speed painting set. I wanted them done and out of the way so that is what I achieved. Could I improve on them, most definitely… am I going to… probably not.

I will try and get the militia onto their bases tomorrow. I can’t promise anything… our old whippet is bleeding lots from her mouth… when I say lots, I mean a gush not a dribble. There was blood from one end of the house to the other. Evidently sight hounds like her bleed like buggery. She was into the vets last week to sort the issue of a very loose tooth, which seems to be causing the problem. Sadly the drugs they needed to clot the blood had run out due to no ferries for a few days. We should know on Friday when she will be back in.

A Teeny Bit of Painting

This evening I got the 15mm stuff out again, painted feathers and moccasins. I was just shaking the metallic for the gun barrels and tomahawks when I realised that I had to go and pick my daughter up from her school dance. By time I got back I really couldn’t be bothered to get them back out again!

AHopefully I will do all the metals and bases tomorrow.

Talking of tomorrow I will hopefully find out what is going to happen to us all at work.

A Bit of Painting

Tonight I needed to do something constructive so got the 15mm stuff back out and got busy. I am going to be honest I was literally grabbing a miniature and painting something with the colours on the palette at the time. Hence the occasional red or blue moccasin! Not that you can see any in this image :).

Still a fair old way to go but we are getting there.

Hopefully the momentum will carry on tomorrow… after these I have thirty militia in civilian attire!

Back to 15mm

I thought I would have a little diversion and do some Woodland Indians for the French and Indian wars…

I was thinking that thirty is a doable number, but when seen like this I am a bit more unsure. Well I will get them done, just might take a bit longer. The last lot were done in August 2018… before I got any contrast paint… we will see how we get on.

Back into New France

I didn’t get anything done this evening as I was playing Dad’s Taxi. I did however pop into the club and had a chat to Mike who had just found his British forces for the French Indian Wars.

It looks like our ancient project might be going to be rekindled…

Some of mine can be found Here

15mm Japan (and some China)

This evening I glued some more bits and pieces together. The ruined farm house is for my mate. The other stuff is my own shrine.

I have added signs from one of the market stalls to the box shrine and taken the original front to make a gateway. I just wanted it different from my mates version.

My mate Wiggy has said he will return to role playing after his stroke so long as I run Qin. Time to start reading…

A Mobile Shrine

So my mate took his birthday present home with him in the car so I reckon we can class it as a mobile Shrine.

So instead of a pristine shrine, I wanted to go for one that is more run down, hence the faded colours on the building. I also got to work with my home made tufts…

All in all I am quite pleased with how this came out. Next stage trying to repeat it in a scale suitable for 6mm, as well as 15mm too. One day I may even do it in 28mm!

A Small Shrine

It was my mates birthday a couple of weeks ago and as I am seeing him tomorrow I thought I had better getbmy finger out and make him something,

I made him a small Japanese shrine for his 15mm Sengoku Monster Hunter games.

Basically he can put in either the ancient tree trunk or the building. I will add some tufts etc tomorrow.

These pieces come from the newish shrine set.

More Painting

Huzzah, I actually sat down and did some painting this evening. This time I went for my 15mm Samurai types.

As I was driving my eldest to drama I was totally confused by a hill/island where there shouldn’t be one… turned out to be a totally weird looking cloud. You can just about make it out in the photo below.

Look I Painted Something!

I have not been in the mood to paint recently, but tonight I decided I would give it a go again.

I painted my 15mm giant that I printed out. This was done whilst playing ‘Hunter Call of the Wild’ on the PC. The pJnrs were to my left, the models were to my right and I was sat in a hide trying to call in some Blacktail deer. They never came but a bull elk did.

It’s not the best photo as it was taken on my tablet rather than my phone, but hey you can see where I have been.
