Well, not sure why, but I achieved very little this evening. Sliced a new vehicle to be abandoned as well as cleaned and cured a pile of things too.
Sadly the bloody print failed, it was too late to faff on with it so I will clean the tank tomorrow and add my own supports too as the miniature fell off the ones that came with the pre supports.
So in the above photo you can see the sacks and liquid containers. I still have to sort out the tote bags which are a similar size to the above. As I said o. An earlier post; I am going to cover the front with a tarpaulin. This will hide the solid plastic windows. Yes I probably could paint them, but it would be a right faff so I will hide them.
So in yesterday’s post (basically 2 hours ago) I was waffling on about how I may have kept the wrong Speedpaints ie gave away the 2.0 and kept the 1.0. I now don’t think I fiddle, but a red paint kept reactivating. On the scouts I used a red and decided to take a photo of the paint bottles I used (primarily in case I forgot). Lo and behold these are the paints I used…
Now the question is, did I use these for the original miniature or not… secondary consideration is the white paint I used… it was a pretty gunky white that I used a pile of medium in to make it more liquid… looks like it need to do some testing.
This evening I really couldn’t be bothered to paint stuff earlier on and then we had a power cut when I was about to start so I undercoated whatever I could find hanging around!
These got a bit more white and then I undercoated a pile of stuff black too.
Sod it! I just remembered I was going to respray my printed marines black. I did them already but missed a fair bit around the legs etc.
Well I would have painted my scouts, but I have run into a snag. I honestly don’t know what colour to paint them. My original idea was red with white paldrons, but I am having a dither. I have printed a lot of greebles to go on the MDF terrain as well as an industrial vehicle to become a part of it…well in terms of it will fiti nto the style of the building.
Hopefully I will get on with them tomorrow! I may have had inspiration 😊¡
Well it was moral support day for my daughter. She revised and I painted. I managed to get this terrain piece finished.
I decided to go a bit mental with the rust. Well it has been sitting in the field a good while.
If truth be told I am a bit Happy with this.
I got a parcel today, six new Speedpaints and a carry case to put them in… I also decided to shove the spare bottles that i had lying around in it too. Somehow I found a lot.
I kind of thought it would have my Contrast paints in there as well as my Speedpaint metallics… so much for that plan. To be fair some of these need to be put back into the shed as I haven’t used them un months… probably years since I used the washes.
I also got some terrain bits too…
Yeah I know I could probably find the files to print something similar or indeed actually craft it myself, but this seemed cheap so I went for it instead.
