Started painting this dynamic duo up. Although it states they can change their skin colour I went for a normal flesh colour. I also went for a Ferach blue uniform with green facings to denote a Jäger battalion. I worked on the principal that as the uniforms don’t fit then they have had to squeeze into someone else’s.

Still a lot of work to do on these.  I managed to replace the spearhead using the head of a plastic French medieval spearman. Drilled out the hand and superglued the replacement in.

I would have got a whole lot further if I hadn’t started playing on Minecraft 😱.

Well here we have the next purchase, still in its box. Looking forward to getting them Painted 😁

Having spent a number of years as a Napoleonic re-enactor as both Polish Lancer and a British light infantryman, you might think I would go for the straight Napoleonic wargames. Well yes I have dabbled in the genre, but it never really took off. I bought the original Sharke’s rifles when it first came out and I really enjoyed the idea. But as with most gaming groups I ended up being the only one still keen. So as I didn’t play any more they went the journey. Roll forward a good few years and my mate Wiggy bought some and the interest was rekindled. I hunted through my boxes of stuff and found odd figures here and there. the odd Ebay purchase also helped. But on the whole most have come from Alternative armies.
But why Fantasy Napoleonic, well I suppose it is because, I enjoy the humour and as it is ‘imaginations’ I feel I am not bound by a total accuracy of uniform (I am not bothered that an August 1809 uniform is different to the March one of the same year). 

I really like the ranges offered, but if I was to be brutally honest I cant get my head around the Colts range (Centaurs). Out of all of the ranges this is the only one. 

I am pleased that Alternative armies does a range of civilians for most of their races, and if not actual civilians some of their other figures will do the part.

I finished my Froggy aristocrat. I do like the Frogs – and this one is a lovely example. I have ordered Baron Petrochemicoli as another useful civilian type figure.

On Sunday I popped into the Hordes of the Things tournament with my local club. Unfortunately I couldn’t take part this year due to child care shenanigans.
I did manage to get a few photos taken though.

The wall is a WIP with the finished article.

The wall is made of 10mm blue insulation foam. It is based on extruded pvc I got from ebay.

I got an amazing bargain off EBay. 8 Ostarian dogs and a mounted one. All for the bargain price of £15.00. They are really well painted and based. I thought the bidding would go wild but I was the only bidder. The seller packed them really well so they arrived in perfect condition.

As I really liked the blue and orange on the mounted dog officer, I thought I would try it out on some Ferach infantry. I also decided to change the trousers to white.
